Overview
The Goryeong Daegaya Festival is the Goryeong's flagship festival and a long-standing celebration where visitors can explore and experience the unique history and culture of Daegaya. In 2025, Goryeong was officially designated as the ancient capital of Daegaya, further enhancing the significance of its rich historical and cultural heritage. In addition, the discovery of pottery bearing the inscription “Great King” at the moat of the Daegaya Palace Site provided important evidence that Daegaya was a powerful ancient kingdom.
